Ek Prem Katha might be sold at a whopping Rs 52 crore (all India distribution
rights).

Now, we can tell
you that the film has got not Rs 52 crore but a Rs 53 crore deal. Yes, you read
that right!
The film, a
satirical take on a battle against the age-old tradition of open defecation in
the country, has been sold to Viacom for the said amount.
SpoboyE.com has
it that KriArj (Prerna Arora and Arjun N.Kapoor) had almost locked the deal
with Anil Aggarwal (a leading distributor in New Delhi) for Rs 52 crore on MG
basis. However, Viacom showed keen interest and not only matched the deal but
also upped it by 1 crore.

Thus KriArj and
Cape Of Good Films (co-producers of the film) have hit profit on table now.
Overseas rights, however, will remain with KriArj.
Needless to say,
Anil Aggarwal was upset and made frantic calls to KriArj office, but the
production house has already sealed the deal with Viacom.
This figure of Rs
53 crore is an all-time high for Akshay Kumar. We told you that the superstar’s
Rustom was sold for Rs 42 crore.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has been grabbing eyeballs ever since the trailer of the
